To say that our Founder is simply dedicated to the legal profession is an underestimation to say the least. Our ‘Warring Man of the Law’ (yes, the literal meaning of his name) would hit the road early by establishing Lex Justis in 2008 with a modest undertaking to contribute to the legal profession in his own unique way. 

Before his call to the Bar, Mario would spend over a decade away from home, and after racking up hundreds upon thousands of travel miles to every corner of the globe and overly excessive all night hours in study, he would return to the Bahamas trained in law, politics, and the niche ability to stay awake for 48 hours straight, qualifying him as our designated ‘Night Hawk’ in his own right, and adaptable to advising clients or preparing for trial even in the twilight hour. 

Apart from spending time climbing the pecking order of YouTube views as a promoter of Bahamian Law, Mario is actually a lawyer too. He is an expert in corporate and commercial matters, but remains an all around practitioner in multiple disciplines. If he isn’t closing commercial transactions, strategizing corporate structures and startup companies, or helping to navigate mind boggling private client matters, you’ll probably find him perusing the courts in one way or another. He is a natural problem solver and believes in providing honest opinions and practical options, even at the expense of losing a client.

This is the part where we say what Mario does in his leisure time, but to his credit, the creation of our practice is Mario’s favorite pastime. As a result of his efforts, the firm today barely resembles our office in the past, in the growth of its dynamic and indepth portfolio of clients, influential nonprofit initiatives, and revolutionary social media presence. On the rare occasion when his schedule permits, he is an avid sports enthusiast, weightlifter, and to the surprise of many, an orchid grower with a touch of a green thumb.
